The Host
Blessed with an eclectic
curiosity, I delve into everything from the spare
change in your pocket to the efficiency (or lack
of it) with which you tackle your everyday problems. My
intention is to remind listeners that money, per
se, is not what causes difficulty, but the issues
surrounding it. The
whole is merely the reflection of what each of
us has built, the
people we associate with and the decisions we’ve
made.
As host of this show,
I approach every topic in a witty, irreverent manner
designed to make you think. Be it developing
your company culture, retrieving sunken treasure,
trademark infringement, herding ostriches or buying
land at tax sales, my style is clear, comfortable
and colorful, cutting across all political and
social lines. The result is that the audience
feels an immediate bond with me and responds well
to both guests and advertisers. They continue
to listen because they always receive useful information,
get some help in facing their fears and find a
few cheers on their road to success. There
are many forces affecting our lives, and my philosophy
is that everything has a cost and often the least
expensive is money. It is important to me that
listeners understand the impact that corporate,
governmental, religious and social rules have on
them. I want them to get off the couch and
wrest back control of their lives. From the show’s
inception, I have attempted to avoid the pitfalls
of trying to be the expert on everything. By interviewing
only the best people and letting them answer the
questions, I create listener excitement. People
often want to find out who will be on next. They
tell me they set their alarm clocks in order not
to miss a single show.
